The Role
As a Security Vetting Administrator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Acting as the key point of contact to both internal and external stakeholders to enable an open and transparent working relationship focused on resolving issues as they arise as well as developing specific plans for change in support of new and existing business streams.
Day-to-day, you’ll ensure that all security requirements are met by the business and are compliant with Babcock Policy and other internal requirements as well as all external contractual obligations, legal requirements, and policy frameworks.
Managing all aspects of access control such as verifying clearances and Need to Know, printing passes and running reports. Providing all required documents to support operational efficiency and regulatory standards. Providing support and ensuring compliance to Prime Contract obligations in accordance with Delegated Authority approval and Security process requirements Working collaboratively with the project teams to provide timely advice and accurate interpretations of security requirements.
This role is part time, 22.2 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office/onsite and 1 day working from home.
Desirable but not essential Experience of the Security Vetting Administrator
A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Security Policy Framework/GOV S007. Possess well developed IT skills. Good practical understanding of the general requirements necessary to maintain compliance with theGeneral Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Good knowledge of security risk management practices and the identification, implementation and monitoring of current risk mitigation techniques and processes.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. The successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) security clearance but will need to achieve Security Check (SC) security clearance once in post.
