Summary You will serve as a Security Specialist as the Physical Security and Antiterrorism Force Protection Officer and Continuity of Operations (COOP) Coordinator for Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers HQ (COMFRC) COMFLTREADCEN. Responsibilities You will analyze and evaluate security programs to assess their effectiveness. You will advise decision makers on security issues in response to identified risks or vulnerabilities. You will conduct annual self-inspections, periodic surveys, and reviews to measure or minimize security susceptibilities and vulnerabilities. You will compose reports to deliver security program guidance throughout an organization. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Developing criteria to measure and analyze a variety of unusual and complex security functions or security related situations. Utilizing knowledge of information security, physical, industrial, antiterrorism, continuity of operations (COOP) and security program interrelationships to coordinate and support the commands strategic plan. Implementing standards and resolving major problems and conflicts concerning security policy and program development Developing comprehensive physical, COOP, Emergency Management, Anti-Terrorism and information security policies and strategies to counter threats. Making recommendations concerning alternative approaches and improvements to the COMFRC, FRC's, and NAF security processes. Prepare, review and evaluate security documentation to ensure adequate protection is provided in meeting the terms within the security program requirements. GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Providing guidance and interpretation within the COMFRC and FRC organization on Force Protection, Physical Security, Information Security, Personnel Security and Industrial Security related matters. Preparing, review and evaluate security documentation to ensure adequate protection is provided in meeting the terms within the security program requirements. Administering local policies and procedures to ensure compliance of COMFRC security policies, instructions, and SOPs. Knowledgeable in matters concerning Force Protection, Physical, Information, Acquisition Personnel and Industrial security and liaison with cognizant organizations and competencies to remain up to date with practices and policies. Monitoring security programs and conduct periodic security inspection of COMFRC Ensuring that all proposed security system changes are reviewed, and that implemented system modifications do not adversely impact the security of the system.
