Security Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Security Specialist to work out of Ft. Eustis, VA.

Essential Duties:

Develop and manage a comprehensive security program in a Research and Development (R&D)
environment in support of the Army Science and Technology (S&T) and other Army customers. Address R&D program security requirements for collaborative, Joint, and/or international
technology exchange programs. Effectively communicate DoD security policies, principles, guidance and practice to organization
leadership and staff. Develop and coordinate standard operating procedures and policies in collaboration with internal
and external organizations. Provide security support that includes: Personnel Security – process/verify personnel security clearances and visitor security
clearance certification using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), In/Out
Processing of all employees Physical Security – safe, key & lock control, visitor access including identification,
processing/badging, notification, building security risk assessment, and secure package
processing Operations Security – support OPSEC program planning and review/approve plan Industrial Security – logging and tracking all Industrial Security DD254 packets for
Aviation and Missile Center G-2 Industrial Security Officer review and approval Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, of which 2 years must be within the DoD

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in physical, industrial, personnel, computer, or communication security
disciplines with training or certification as a physical security specialist, such as a security guard
or military police. Personnel should have experience reviewing investigative reports and evaluation or derogatory
and mitigating information. With the understanding that final decisions regarding
suitability/security determination or campus access authorizations are made by appropriate
Federal employees, including use of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).

Education/ Certification:

Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of relevant experience providing personnel security services in
accordance with the relevant Executive Orders (E.O.), U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR),
and the policies and orders. Must successfully have training and experience with physical security, or industrial security as a
suitable substitute with supplemental experience or training.
