Security Operations Engineer (Pulte Mortgage)

This position is hybrid and requires one day in-office.

JOB SUMMARY

Candidate will be responsible for and is an expert in security operations, security engineering, and implementing security technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The engineer is responsible for all things technical and will be hands on with security technology daily. The engineer is also responsible for incident response and resolution. The engineer will design, implement, administer, tune and operationalize all security technology:

Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and logging / monitoring tools

Next Gen Firewalls, IPS, VPN, and network security technologies

Endpoint Protection, Operating system hardening, and script/automation of security process

Vulnerability scanning and management of infrastructure and cloud technologies

The engineer will also assist and provide guidance on:

Network security design

Business Continuity

3rd Party Risk Management

Application Security, VM, and Penetration testing

Security Training & Awareness

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or equivalent skills / experience preferred.

Security certifications (SANS, CISSP, CISM, etc.)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

10+ years in technology with minimum of 5 years in a security role

Expertise with the information security domains, and key security concepts

Excellent written and communication skills

Hands on experience with the following types of technologies:

Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory

Incident Response Program

Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) & logging

Endpoint Detection Tools

Next Gen Firewalls, Network security & IPS tools

Salary Range: $104,000 to $125,000 depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.

In addition to up to 9 paid company holidays per year, employees are eligible for up to 6 days of sick pay. Moreover, eligible employees with less than 10 years of service can accrue up to 17 PTO days per year (and up to 22 PTO days per year upon 10 or more years of service).
