Jockey is seeking a full-time Security Officer at our Corporate location in Kenosha WI, to ensure all departments within Jockey are supported with a safe and secure facility and to respond to all emergency situations. In this role, you will:
Manage the safety and security operations at the corporate office ensuring employees and visitors are communicated with in a courteous and professional manner; permitting authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits. Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards; monitor entrances and exits. Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Permit only authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits. Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements. Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities. During winter months: assist with shoveling and salting building entrances. Pick up trash/debris during daily rounds.
Candidate Qualifications:
High school degree or the equivalent required. General security knowledge desired (gained through classroom or work experience). Professional demeanor; excellent communication, interpersonal, and organization skills. Excellent problem solving and prioritization skills. Excellent multi-tasking and decision-making skills; able to work independently. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Ability for prolonged standing and walking. Ability to work in all weather conditions (this role will be primarily patrolling the outdoor parameters of the building). Valid driver’s license with good driving record. Available to work 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM).
