A new opportunity has arisen for an In-house Security Officer to join our team based in Hatfield Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a pro-active and professional security presence. You will play a large role in both operational flow and facility safety.

 

 

What you’ll do

Provide a security presence within our Hatfield Hertfordshire office Provide a customer focused service Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories and giving instructions Manage security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges and providing site induction if necessary Maintain a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Ensure that all telephone calls are dealt with in a timely and professional manner       Meeting & greeting visitors, signing them into the building and providing passes, contacting their hosts and inducting them to the site An awareness of Health, Safety and Security You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers and must project a professional image. Ensuring all staff that are not based at this building sign in and if necessary, provide them with temporary visitor passes. Assist the Facilities team in the delivery of general site-based activities as directed.  Carry out additional works as directed by Security Manager. Regular CCTV checks and Patrols of all Building and external areas.

 

 

What you’ll need

Previous security awareness and knowledge Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures Proficiency with computers and relevant software applications inc CCTV Awareness of customer service principles and practices An understanding of Building management Verbal and written communication skills Project a professional image  An awareness of Health and Safety Verbal and written communication skills Professional personal presentation Attention to detail Initiative, flexibility Knowledge of Intruder alarm, CCTV and access control systems
