Job Summary:
This position will report to a Senior Manager Security. This position is responsible for providing support to the Global Security team and to the Tyson facilities both domestic and international. In this role, the Global Security Manager will be responsible for assisting with reviewing physical, facility and plant security policies and procedures; establish and maintain a security training program that can be disseminated to all locations; assist in developing and managing programs that will be leveraged by the Global Security team in support of minimum security standards for all Tyson locations; conduct threat monitoring and validation through the use of various social media and intelligence platforms; provide risk assessment and mitigation through the use of security site surveys; assist with executive protection and event protection when needed; assist with investigations as needed; assist Senior Managers and/or Director as needed; cultivate and maintain effective liaison with relevant external entities, such as federal and local law enforcement agencies and private sector counterparts. To ensure success in this role, close collaboration, and partnership with a wide variety of internal and external business partners is essential.
Role Specific Skills: Thorough understanding of corporate security processes; experience developing processes to enhance security measures and measure effectiveness of current systems; experience conducting both simple and complex problem solving; experience in conducting complex and multi-level investigations; ability to perform surveillance activities both remotely and onsite; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members; ability to draft concise and well-written reports; experience working productively on a team; experience mentoring, developing, training and directing multi-member teams; adaptability to Tyson’s culture, pace of operations and requirements; willingness to be on-call 24/7 to respond to company-related security incidents and to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study preferred
Experience: 8+ years of experience with a law enforcement agency, US military, public or private sector security or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Computer Skills: Moderate computer skills and a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint is recommended.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Travel is estimated to be less than 10%.
