Department OverviewThe Security Coordinator is responsible for managing the EMEA Badging Centre and supporting the global travel security program.
Job Description
Job responsibilities:
· Operates and maintains the LPS regional badge centre for Europe, Middle East and Africa, providing a regional based response for processing and managing access control, badge issuance and maintaining global security system standards
· Acting as the representative for Loss Prevention & Security in Poland
· Participates as a member/contact member of the local Crisis Management Team
· Investigate and take the appropriate lawful actions on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activity and safety
· Enforce company security policies and procedures
· Train new contract security personnel
· Provide traveller support globally; review business travel according to company policy and approval
· Collaborating with the global Security Emergency Call Centre (SECC) to establish and standardise accurate escalation processes in relation to travel issues, advisories and associated crisis issues
· Provide security arrangements in high and extreme destinations from existing vendors. Inform travellers and raise order for security services
· Participate in travel governance reviews to maintain and improve the security aspect of MSI business travel
· Engages with Investigator and management for incident reporting and follow up
· Engages the Physical Security team for access control and security systems
· Provides support to Loss Prevention & Security management at special events, that may include executive members
· Maintain regional databases for LPS external resources, benchmarking data etc.
· If applicable, participates in the development of new programs, policies and practices regarding security measures necessary for the proper application of U.S. government regulations and specification for classifying, upgrading, downgrading and safeguarding classified information
· Markets and promotes LPS, its services, programs, polices and recommended practises to all its customers
· Develops, administers and maintains databases for LPS; manages collection, interpretation and reporting of data
· Support LPS Batchat page and update data whenever needed
· Provide support for Purchase Order management in the EMEA region.
Basic Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of experience in security, with supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, field experience
• Bilingual individual who projects self-confidence, authority, and enthusiasm
• Crisis Management practical and operational knowledge is desirable
• Proactive in identifying and supporting security issues
• Conveys a favourable image of the security organization and company
• Adds real value to the success of the security organization
• Practices aggressive ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to make decisions without direct supervision; give proper direction to security officers and foster an overall Security Department Team atmosphere
• Train Security Officers and oversee all day-to-day operations of the site and promote the highest standards of efficiency, customer service and ethics effectively and efficiently
• Inspires trust in peers and viewed as a role model among the site security team
• Honors commitments and can be trusted to deal honestly and openly with others
• Demonstrates mature ability to manage emotions and reactions encouraging co-worker trust and risk-taking
• Availability for domestic and international travel (<5%).
