The **Security Analyst I** will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) organization and to help introduce efficiencies that can streamline internal processes and procedures. The Information Security Analyst would possess the ability to automate appropriate functions which is critical for the team in order to scale and grow. Therefore, the ability to research, develop, and keep abreast of testing tools, techniques, and process improvements in support of security detection and analysis is key.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Proactively manage, monitor, and resolve security anomalies.
+ Deliver ongoing support to end users by providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business issues related to security.
+ Proactively identify and implement operational security improvements, enhancements, and system customizations to mitigate security risk.
+ Utilize existing enterprise security tools and develop and/or deploy additional tools that enable increased visibility and awareness of known and potential threats.
+ Comprehend security controls, systems management, and systems documentation activities.
+ Proactively identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
+ Document security architecture, infrastructure components, and operating procedures.
+ Provide users and management with technical support on matters related to information security.
+ Develop, document, and refine processes.
+ Maintain a state of awareness of risk and control trends and industry benchmarking to prepare for and monitor upstream risks and control and issues.
+ Creatively solve unfamiliar challenges, using personal integrity and sound judgment, while maintaining strict confidentiality when needed.
+ Improve employee engagement by advancing teamwork, transparency, and accountability.
+ Be a critical contributor to the overall improvement of security operations effectiveness
+ Log, track and complete security event/alert ticket requests.
+ Perform basic to moderate statistical work and data analysis.
+ Ensure confidentiality within all areas of responsibility.
**What You'll Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security or other related field preferred.
+ Recent completion of a Cyber Security program, Computer Science Degree, Information Security Degree or other related certifications in the Information Security field.
+ 1+ years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, networking, database design and system administration and identity and access management.
+ Work independently and troubleshoot technical and business process related issues.
+ Develop subject matter expertise in the entire information security stack.
+ Develop technical solutions for internal consumption.
+ Ability to appropriately analyze and respond to security events.
+ Understanding of malware, virus propagating vectors.
+ Understanding of current endpoint detection and response technologies.
+ Understanding of Vulnerability Management concepts and best practices.
+ Knowledge of multiple Operating Systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android).
+ Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
+ Understanding of concepts regarding Identity and access management.
+ Understanding of application security practices and tools.
+ Understanding of Data Loss Prevention techniques.
+ Understanding of Rights management practices.
+ Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to present topics to peers within IT.
+ Knowledge of regulatory landscape and compliance requirements (i.e., SOX, PCI, GDPR, SOC2, ISO27001, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF).
+ Understanding of programming & scripting languages strongly preferred: python, PowerShell, etc.

The typical hourly pay rate for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
$32.21 - $48.08
