Ensure Security protocols are in place, followed, and ingrained into daily operationsEnsure Health and Safety measures are clearly communicated and implemented. Ensure our people are safe and supported.People:
Work collaboratively with Product Managers and District Manager to set goals and vision for Security and Health & Safety strategyPlan and hold effective meetings with the team.Ensure SOPs and District requirements are clear and communicated proactivelyBe the premier expert for job functions both within and outside the districtCreate a world class service while supporting local business prioritiesLead with a positive attitude and set an example for others to follow.Operations:
SecurityTake the lead on all district security incident investigations, in coordination with Regional and CHQ Security.Support Business Continuity Plan development and testingManage and operate security systems (Security, Health and Safety Portal, CCTV, intrusion alarm, access control, etc.).Coordinate timely completion (within 90 days) of outstanding Security Corrective / Preventive Actions with appropriate parties, and communicate issues to the District Manager and Regional Security Manager/Director.Facilitate the development of a security-conscious mindset within the district.Own and report on all security-related communication with Expeditors District, Local police department, Customers, Service Providers, Regional / CHQ Security and Cargo Signal TeamsDrive CTPAT program and/or local AEO / WCO program. Run validation visit using the CTPAT Validation Process Flow Chart.Health & SafetyManage implementation of all applicable local compliance to Health and Safety procedures, laws, andCommunicate our Health and Safety requirements in a professional and friendly way. Encourage and promote best practices to keep our people healthy and safe.Manage Health and Safety systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, forklifts etc.; related Health and Safety items) as required.Own reporting and management of workplace safety incidents and near misses, including root cause analysis and risk mitigation.Keep District management and sales up to date on new health and safety initiatives, changes in local laws and regulations, training material and health and safety related information provided by the Regional Safety Manager/Director.Perform Risk Assessments of all facilities in order to identify hazards and mitigate risk to employees and visitorsCustomer
Maintain a pro-active customer attitude at all times. Customers are our actual clients (external) and Expeditors personnel (internal).
