Reuters Events are looking for a Sector Head to lead a team and ensure the commercial success of our newest conference initiatives and content portfolios.

Our flagship events across 10+ industries feature leading figures from international governments, alongside CEOs from fortune 500 companies. Many of these discussions are hosted in conjunction with Reuters Editorial and are published on Reuters.com and broadcast to millions across the globe.

Our events, reports, magazine and other outputs are helping companies make meaningful connections and gain trusted insights to help move their businesses, and industries, forward in times of change and disruption.

About the Role 

As a Sector Head for Reuters Events, you will:  

Lead the new events division and develop both the strategic and commercial management of these events in new and existing industry verticals

Lead on business planning, identify new opportunities, manage research teams and build new ideas into our continually evolving business model, working with industry sector heads to do so

 You’ll be key to launching new events and will ensure that our world-class events meet industry needs, deliver a great customer experience and achieve our performance goals.  

Line manage Conference Producers (both FTE and freelancers), overseeing team performance, resourcing and development. 

You will be supported by the senior leadership team to oversee your sector and ensure quality control, people management, resourcing and performance. 

Work with sales leads and marketing management to support on managing early database and community building to support new event ideas

About You 

You're a fit for the role of Sector Head at Reuters Events if you have:  

The desire to combine your commercial acumen with your leadership skills to effectively deliver new events

Demonstrable experience of managing a team to commercial success.  

Great communication skills with a collaborative mindset.  

To work collaboratively with teams across the business to deliver events successfully and think of strategic ways in which we can develop new events in line with what our customers want.
