Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Secretary III for the Department of Extramural Clinics of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). 

Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Secretary III provides administrative and general office services to the Unit.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Responsible for maintaining patient schedule book for the clinic. Prepares monthly reports as requested. Implements patient registration, billing, account review, and other procedures for the day-to-day management of patients’ accounts. Verifies patient insurance eligibility and establishes method of payment. Runs daily insurance eligibility ahead of patients’ scheduled visits. Receives and assists patients and visitors. Handles phone calls in a professional and helpful manner. Serves as liaison between department and other departments within the University system.
