Reporting to a Manager of Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring (QACM), Long-Term Care, the Quality Resource Leader is a contributing member of the Department's Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Team and will participate in processes that determine both Departmental operations and strategic objectives. To facilitate operationalizing the Long-Term Care Quality Framework, the Leader may provide coaching and mentoring to Long-Term care home staff on key quality improvement initiatives (e.g., falls prevention, wound care, dementia care).
The position is geographically nimble and will work throughout the region and potentially the Health Authority. Travel is a requirement of the position. Transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of Island Health in accordance with the service assignment and may require the use of a personal vehicle.
QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceA level of training, education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field and five (5) years of related experience. Knowledge and experience with quality improvement, long-term care, and/or infection prevention and control preferred. Relevant certification also preferred such as Gerontology Nursing Certificate (GNC) or equivalent, Quality Improvement or Change management certificate.
