Overview

The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing a professional and inviting environment for guests through their timely and cordial service of food and beverages.

Responsibilities

You will greet guests in a warm, professional, and timely manner. You will give a brief introduction to the provided menus and answer any immediate questions or concerns the guests may have. You will accurately input guests’ food and beverage orders, inquiring about food allergens and dietary restrictions, and checking identification, as needed. You will work with a sense of initiative, anticipating needs before they arise to provide outstanding guest service. You will serve food and beverages, ensuring that all dishes and beverages are presented correctly and in a timely manner. You will accurately prepare and deliver checks, assisting guests with payments, as needed. You will maintain the cleanliness of your tables throughout service by disposing of all waste and clearing all plates and glassware, as needed. You will wipe down and reset chairs and tables at the conclusion of the guests’ dining experience. You will professionally and cordially engage with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction. You will develop and implement a deep understanding of luxury service standards.

Qualifications

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. These supportive functions include, but are not limited to: performing general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards, folding napkins and rolling silverware for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply, assisting with room service orders, and attending the required departmental meetings.
