SUMMARY

 This occupation requires knowledge in basic welding skills, GTAW and GMA.W. Perform such operations as help fit welding assemblies and do basic welding on Assemblies.  Able to read basic blueprints.  This occupation requires performing manual tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending and considerable time standing. 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a welder, or a certificate from welding trade school or ROP type program

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Able to read basic blueprints

 

Assist Journeyman Welder fit and weld assemblies.

 

Weld assemblies and use fixtures to assemble parts.

 

Apply welds using the TIG & MIG method.

 

Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

 

Must have own welding hood.

 

Operate various hand grinders.
