Job Description
Evaluate current engineering workflows, team structure, and delivery processes. Identify gaps and opportunities for Agile adoption. Develop an Agile implementation plan tailored to the team’s needs. Introduce appropriate Agile practices (e.g., Scrum or Kanban). Set up Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, backlog grooming. Implement tools for backlog management and team visibility (e.g., Jira, Trello, or equivalent). Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile roles, responsibilities, and workflows. Observe team performance and refine processes for better velocity and collaboration. Facilitate retrospectives to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement. Mentor the internal Engineering Manager to prepare for handover. Document processes, tools, templates, and best practices. Conduct a formal handoff to the Engineering Manager, including walkthroughs and final coaching sessions. Provide a summary report with recommendations for continued Agile maturity.

This role is fully on-site at a growing business. The environment is dynamic, with opportunities for long-term engagement if performance is exceptional. The team uses Jira for task management and is focused on breaking down tasks into sprints, establishing sprints, and fostering Agile practices. The candidate must come from a product development company and have a deep understanding of hardware development.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
