Target Range:

$90,000.00 /Yr. - $110,000.00 /Yr.

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

The Scrum Master Lead role emphasizes different types of disciplines to drive solutions and problem-solving skills to activities related to the company's delivery planning and execution of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

This role requires a detail-oriented, driven individual who seeks to solve complicated problems and thrives in an environment with a high pace and many opportunities to improve efficiency and contribute to a product's success. You will manage multiple high-complexity projects by leading scrum master seniorities from senior to junior or trainee level. This position is 100% on-site at our HQ in San Diego, CA.

Responsibilities:

Guide projects or teams/groups in implementing agile methodologies to deliver rapid and reliable business productsTrack and remove blockers or impediments that hinder project progress. Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the scrum team or across different teamsMonitor and report on the progress of the Features, PBIs and Tasks during each sprint (e.g., Burn-down chart) or Kanban ( e.g., Throughput)Set up and manage sprint planning and other scrum/kanban ceremonies  (i.e., backlog refinement, daily scrum, demos, etc.)Manage the team's sprints, boards, and dashboards in ADO to ensure optimal velocityCoordinate backlogs across teams for cross-functional projects/teamsCollaborate with project teams to estimate sprint velocity. Manage the day-to-day technical issues with the teamEffectively manage and communicate outstanding bugs, issues, and velocity to team and leadershipIdentify potential risks and devise contingency plans with some supervisionTo ensure that expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded, keep management and key stakeholders well informed about the team's progress, status, and concerns on a timely basisConduct sprint retrospectives and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elementsPartner with project managers and development team to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentationsReport their actual level of effort using the agreed-upon time tracking system, DaptivWork closely with the Software Development Manager, Product Manager and a PMO as a day-to-day alignmentAbility to understand the complexity of the project and lead scrum masters and teams to the success of the delivery of the projectCoaching, onboarding, and training individual scrum master’s within the respected development groups on agile methodologies and process improvementStrategize and execute large-scale process improvements with various stakeholders in the software development cycleResource management and related administrative duties with teamsPerform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree of IT, Computer Science, or related field5+ years' as a Scrum Master3+ years' of leadership experience managing a team of scrum masters1+ year's leading multiple agile teamsExperience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise level application development projects Proficient understanding of technical equipment and software packages, relationship management, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentPassionate about delivering excellence in customer service within a team environment and work well with geographically dispersed teamsPossess an exceptional work ethic, be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have the ability to independently manage a workload with multiple priorities
