JOB SUMMARY:
Set up and operate
various screw machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Competencies:
Reads and interprets documents (blue prints, drawing, or
manufacturing work orders), to ascertain what tools and materials are necessary
for producing products to precision tolerance to aircraft specification.
Sets up and operates, on a production basis, all assigned
screw machines and their related products. This includes settings and adjustments required to produce parts to
specifications. Selects, mounts and
aligns tooling attachments and materials in proper order and relationship. Makes all adjustments necessary to produce
parts of acceptable quality.
Monitors production run using measuring devices, such as,
comparators, micrometers, calipers and various other inspect gauges.
Reworks and directs reworking of tooling as needed.
Keeps accurate statistical process control records, when
required, on each job manufactured, making adjustments during production run as
the SPC data directs.
Meets and maintains all productivity levels and quality
requirements to support departmental goals and schedules.
Performs minor preventative maintenance on assigned
machines.
Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and
follows safety regulations.
The Pay Scale for this position ranges from $20.67-$38.46 an hour
