Position Description

Drives Screen Atlanta mobile van unit to various Atlanta-area locations for screening activities, assists in the transportation of patients (as assigned) and performs various courier-type duties.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Drives Screen Atlanta mobile van unit.

2. Assists in setting up and breaking down of unit for screening services, fills van with gas as needed, and coordinates time with Engineering to hook up van to Shore Power Unit for re charging.

3. Maintains and updates maintenance schedule on van.

4. Coordinates time schedule with Manager for arrivals and departures of van at area screening locations.

5. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury accident to Manager.

6. Assists patients with transportation needs to and from oncology appointments as assigned.

7. Acts as a courier as needed.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. One (1) year experience in driving vans, buses, or any other vehicle which requires a class 4 driver’s license.
