ResponsibilitiesThe Scrap Coordinator is responsible for providing supervision and direction to all scrap and inventory employees; to operate the department within all safety regulations and quality standards; to maintain accurate inventory levels and production standards; to exhibit the highest standard of professionalism and a positive attitude while handling multiple tasks and priorities.
Responsible utilization of available regrind, reprocessed materials in a manner consistent with established standards.Provide supervision, motivation and work direction to the department.Communication at beginning of shift with up-to-date grinding activities.Tracks, inventories and completes Regrind/Repel and Daily Scrap report.Will have communication with CMOG team when scrap loads are ready for shipping.Will load semi-trailer with scrap material to send out to customer.Working knowledge of different resin types.Operates a grinder.Verify all materials are covered and inside containers before stacking.Verify containers are in good condition and able to contain materials without causing damage.Stages loads for shipments.Weigh each pallet, Gaylord, etc. with designated scale and mark accordingly.Promote and enforce a clean and organized work environment guided by the 5s principle.Monitor inventory levels of WIP & raw materials and advise planner.Must follow and comply with Safety & AbsolutesMust follow and comply with all ISO 9001, ASI - Food Safety, ISO 15378 established requirementsMust follow all regulatory laws and guidelinesAny other tasks as assignedContribution to Safety, Quality and GMP

Additional education preferred.Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting.Possess functional knowledge of production scheduling, bar coding, MRP, shipping, receiving, inventory control & purchasingStrong computer skills (JDE, Microsoft Word, Excel).Strong communication skills both written, verbal, and listening.Strong attention to detail and follow through.Must be able to work independently with little supervision.Familiarization of products and good organization skills.Must be able to operate lift truck, pallet jack.
