Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. product group/business area/division/function} in {insert region}. Main stakeholders are {insert main stakeholder groups if available}.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tMain owner of SCM daily build activities, monitor support efficiency and quality, and identify improvement opportunities.•\tAnalyze the market, search and develop new suppliers, strictly monitor and manage suppliers’ performances.•\tSource products and raw materials with competitive prices that meet ABB requirements.•\tIdentified opportunities for redesign or component substitution to provide cost reduction, supply chain continuity or quality improvement, and manage commodities in identifying opportunities to source with flex preferred suppliers.•\tManage all the commercial aspects of suppliers (confidentiality agreements, quotations, tooling agreements, product agreements, negotiations, etc.)•\tCost Management/Reduction/Cost Avoidance •\tStrengthen engineering practices and Quality focus•\tMaintain strong cross-functional working relationships with interfacing departments and ABB group to implement design changes, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.

Qualifications for the role

\tYBachelor or above degree. Major in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering is preferred. \t5+ years of experience in sourcing.\tFluent written and spoken English.\tStrong communication, negotiation, interpersonal skills and cost analysis skills.\tHigh work responsibility, team cooperation.\tTravelling is required.
