Your role:
Leading or supporting identification of research directions in ultrasound imaging area that potentially have high impact on the Philips Healthcare business, based on thorough understanding of unmet needs and up-to-date technological development.
Leading or supporting in developing innovative medical imaging solutions with a focus on ultrasound device and solutions according to time, cost, and quality requirement, and achieve good balance for the developed solutions.
Leading or supporting in data curation, algorithm design, and clinical study that are needed for developing these solutions.
Contributing to establishing and strengthening the group know-how and competency on medical imaging, image analysis and applications, in particular those relevant to the Philips business, and providing technical leadership.
Smooth and efficient execution of research projects, and taking efforts in translating research outcome into business opportunities.
Actively seeking for open innovation opportunities with universities, institutes and other external knowledge centers, to ensure the success of innovation projects.
Managing well the research outcome in the form of IP, internal technical reports and quality publications, where applicable.
Working along with peer colleagues across projects, groups and labs, remain open in sharing insights and make sure communication goes well and timely.

Performs as specialized Data Scientist/Lead Data Scientist. Acts autonomous within established procedures and practices.
Develop solution to the specific problem, by new algorithms and/or significantly modify the existing, as needed.
Select and implement the best tooling, algorithms, frameworks, languages, and technologies to maximize results, automate and scale as needed.
Ensure high data integrity and data quality for model training, validation and deployment. Find and choose the optimal data sources and data features (variables).
Participates in full AI model development processes, working with broader autonomy and in collaboration mode with other team members. Work cross-functionally, effectively.
Choose the correct performance metrics and apply the appropriate techniques in order to maximize performance.
Discover ways to leverage the data to achieve business goals.
Rich experience in own field of expertise and recognized in the data science domain internally and externally.
May lead small projects, managing a small number of people.
A candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of working experience working with in data science capacity within a fast-paced and complex business setting, preferably working as a Data Scientist.
Master/PhD in Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
Working experience for Ultrasound imaging is more preferred.
Over 3 years of medical imaging is preferred.
