The role

Join us as a Field Applications Scientist (FAS) and assist us in our mission to become the world leader in serving science. This dynamic position involves providing scientific training, guidance, application support and troubleshooting for our qPCR, digital PCR and Sample Prep platforms.

This is a field-based role, involving extensive travel across a territory that includes New York, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. The successful candidate must live within the assigned territory. Occasional support needs to be provided to customers outside of assigned region in other areas of the US. When not traveling we are working from home. How will you make an impact?

We support customers in-person at their lab, and by phone and email, serving as a trusted advisor. In doing so, we help to increase customer satisfaction, build loyalty and contribute to the overall success of the business.

Deliver on-site and remote scientific application support & training support to our customers on a variety of qPCR, digital PCR and Sample Prep (nucleic acid/protein extraction) product lines.Perform product demonstrations and training at customer or company sitesDiagnose & resolve product performance problems and customer queries/complaintsWork with sales representatives on sales calls to customer laboratories to provide technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiriesAssist the regional sales team in the development of accounts by giving technical seminars and presentations that promote the use of our productsMaintain up-to-date technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and scientific developments in qPCR, digital PCR and related subjectsBuild trust with our customers and excel in customer service

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar (Masters or PhD preferred).

Experience

Requires 3+ years of molecular biology laboratory experience. Hands-on experience with qPCR is essential.Experience in communicating technical materials in written and verbal form; teaching experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Customer-facing experience, with the emotional intelligence to understand customer concernsAble to connect with and support people effectively with varying levels of technical knowledge and expertiseGood computer and/or IT skills and have an interest for groundbreaking technology.Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75% weekly), including frequent overnightsDrivers license

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $66,000.00–$99,000.00.
