The Position

The NanoPort Team is responsible for providing technical and scientific expertise in the support of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Global sales efforts. We will support the customer in-person at their lab, and by remote support station, phone and email, serving as a trusted advisor.

This customer focused position is ideal for an experienced Electron Microscopist wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a constant variety of customer application areas.

Responsibilities:Perform product demonstrations at customer or NanoPort sitesTake care of TEM tools in NanoportDeliver on-site and remote scientific application support & training support to our customers on our leading TEM productsDiagnose & resolve product performance problems and customer queries/complaintsWork with sales representatives on sales calls to give technical and applications assistance in response to customer inquiriesAssist the regional sales team in the development of accounts by giving technical seminars and presentations that promote the use of our productsMaintain up-to-date technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of our product portfolio and scientific developments in TEM and related subjectsBuild trust with our customers and excel in customer serviceRequirements:Masters Degree in life science, applied structure biology or similar (PhD preferred)More than 2 years experience in TEM related to Structure BiologyExperience in presenting technical materials in written and verbal formGood knowledge on Cryo-TEM: Single particle analysis, Micro-Electron Diffraction or Cryo-tomography.Experience in Thermo Scientific Cryo-TEM, Tecnai/Talos/Titan/Glacios/Krios (EPU, Tomo, TIA, Velox )Familiar with data processing (Relion, Cryosparc, eTomo)Customer-facing experience, with good interpersonal skills to understand customer concernsAble to connect with and support people effectively with varying levels of technical knowledge and expertiseGood digital literacy and have an interest for groundbreaking technologyWillingness to travel extensively (up to 60%)Proficient in English
