As a Scientific Developer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with PhD-level scientists on an innovative project at the intersection of computational chemistry and drug discovery. This role involves leveraging quantum-mechanical properties of molecules and applying computational tools, including the OpenEye Toolkits and Orion, to tackle challenges in drug design and development. 

Key Learnings:

Experience with OpenEye products used in state-of-the-art scientific research. Experience developing in a professional scientific software environment.Experience with the application of quantum mechanics in the context of drug discovery.

What you should have (formally MUST HAVES/REQUIREMENTS):

Experience with Python programming.Strong background in computational chemistry or a related field.Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a diverse team.


 

The following are a PLUS, but not required (preferred skills/experience):

Experience with Quantum chemistry software, e.g. Psi4, Gaussian, etc.Good background in the foundations of density functional theory.3 or more years of experience developing in modern scientific languageWe’re doing work that matters. Help us solve what others can’t.
