We are currently seeking a Scientific Business Developer who will be responsible for driving -from a scientific, technical and business perspective - the go-to-market of our new enterprise platform for chromatography data analysis. This position is part of the Screener Business Unit located in Basel, Switzerland and will be predominantly onsite. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Facilitating presales activities by preparing and providing presentations and software demonstrations + Investigating and analyzing the needs of scientists in protein production and downstream processing departments to frame pre sales pitches and projects + Providing support during customer projects (e.g. data staging, trainings, requirements consolidation, implementation testing) + Applying your domain expertise on chromatography to define new software functionalities + Supporting the marketing team with messaging & generation of material The essential requirements of the job include: + MSc or PhD degree in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess development or a related field + 3+ years of experience in the Biopharma, Biotechnology or Chromatography instrument industry + 3+ years of hands-on chromatography experience, including data analysis, in biotherapeutics development (downstream processing, analytical development) and/or research (protein purification, developability assessment) + Strong communication and presentation skills, fluency in English + Excited to understand chromatography data challenges of prospects/customers and to translate requirements into software solutions It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Basic applied knowledge of Python – proven ability to write scripts + Business process analysis Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + This position requires 20% travel within Europe and 10% intercontinental travel.
