Key activities
This position will support the Global Head of SCIB to deliver the strategic agenda of the division, leading strategic projects and the activities required to run the division on an ongoing basis.
Contribute to set the strategic agenda and take responsibility for delivering underlying strategic projects. Significant influencing of senior stakeholders, at all levels, is required as well as leadership experience to prioritise competing demands and deliver to tight timeframes. Lead / Support the global strategic planning processes for the divisionDevelopment of global strategic and budgeting plans for SCIB in partnership with finance, product teams, othersProvide close support to the Global Head of SCIB in his leadership role and in Senior Management presentations, Board and Exco papers, and Client and employee interactions Lead, support and monitor the development of the business strategic projects/ initiatives of the division supporting SCIB heads (geographies & products)Close collaboration and proactive engagement with global SCIB teams for designing and leading execution of key pan-CIB initiatives, including but not limited to, corporate development initiatives in line with strategic goalsGovernance - Ensure the appropriate execution of the internal governance proceduresClose interaction with Santander Group functions / other global businesses to provide relevant SCIB information, raising the division’s profile, including sharing best practices.What we’re looking for
Strong relevant experienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similarMBA / Master in Finance would be valuableSolid financial knowledgeProactive, creative and hard-working candidate with high analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a team. Inquisitive, driven.Solid communication skills written and verbal in English, conveying ideas clearly, in a succinct manner. Spanish a plus.Advanced level of Microsoft OfficeAvailability to travel internationallyWhat else you need to know
This role is based in our Triton Square office in London, conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.
