The role
As a Scheduler, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary as part of a team that creates the work packages for the nuclear submarines during decommissioning and disposal projects on site at Devonport. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll support the Scheduling Manager and team in creating Project Controls and Metric reports for the Submarine Support Business Unit.

 

Distribute, collect, and verify project information for senior management meetings. Attend weekly schedule reviews, update inputs, and monitor/escalate project changes. Maintain the integrated Master schedule. Act as deputy for senior schedulers in meetings and reviews when needed.

 

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days in the office/onsite and 2-3 days working from home.

 

Essential experience of the Scheduler 

Project or engineering background. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment. Beneficial knowledge of submarine/ship systems. Some familiarity with scheduling software (training provided), including Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Visio, OnePager.

 

Qualifications for the Scheduler

GCSEs or equivalent (A-C Grade) NVQ 3 or equivalent in Project Management or an Engineering discipline Project Management/APM qualification - desirable
