The Scheduler works in the plant or with employees to make sure operations run on time. In the plant, schedulers prioritize inbound and outbound shipments to make sure that it gets to the end user in a timely matter. Primary Duties \u2022 Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies. \u2022 Schedule production machines in most cost effective and efficient way possible \u2022 Coordinate all production activity with Sales and Sales Service to insure customers' orders are being handled properly \u2022 Conduct twice-daily scheduling meetings with various personnel to explain shipping deadlines, existing and/or new orders, problems to look out for, etc. \u2022 Supervise staff in the daily routine of scheduling and preparing production reports \u2022 Support and enforce all management directives as they apply to human resources: i.e., rules, policies, etc. \u2022 Oversee ordering and inventory requirements \u2022 All other duties as assigned Job Qualifications \u2022 High school diploma or GED \u2022 Previous experience in a corrugated scheduling department/box plant \u2022 Good attention to detail \u2022 Excellent communication skills to the effect he/she must deal with customers and personnel at all levels of the organization \u2022 Good math aptitude \u2022 Computer data entry experience Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
