South Brazoria County’s premier healthcare system St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital is dedicated to providing quality care with compassion for the communities we serve. **Responsibilities** The Scheduler is responsible for obtaining schedule reservations from physician’s offices or patients, complete and accurate demographic and financial information for patient pre-registration and follow-up of that information. Responsible for insurance verification, both by phone and computer, determining scheduled patient’s financial responsibility, and communicating this information to the patient. **Qualifications** + Ability to type/enter data accurately, ability to spell correct diagnosis, procedures and patient’s names required + Exposure to insurance companies and their benefits required + Must be highly motivated to improve data quality & financial position of the institution + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and decimals + 1 year previous experience in healthcare setting obtaining quality patient demographic info, verifying patient insurance information, providing financial counseling, ICD9 coding experience & knowledge, patient billing & collection experience preferred + High School Diploma/GED required **Pay Range** $12.71 - $17.47 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
