Senior/Test Analyst Job Profile

We have almost 1,300 people located in our purpose built, secure delivery centre in Belfast; across our regional offices in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh plus our service delivery centres based in Kolkata, Cairo and Johannesburg and on a range of client sites. 

About the role 

Our Test Practice is experiencing continuous success and growth. As part of this growth, we are seeking to recruit experienced Senior/Test Analysts at Senior Associate and Associate level to work with our software development teams to provide QA support to the development teams to automate tests to guide development. 

Each project is different, but typically you can expect to be working on the following:

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices

Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution

Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation, such as test plans, test scripts, and test reports

Knowledge of various testing techniques, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing

Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems

Ability to analyse requirements and design specifications to identify test scenarios and test cases

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during testing

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage multiple testing tasks

Experience in test automation and knowledge of relevant tools and frameworks

Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies and their impact on testing processes

Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software testing.

Who we are looking for 

Essential Criteria 

Strong background in software testing across many disciplines of testing including exploratory, functional, SIT, E2E, UAT and NFT

Experience in driving manual and automated script-writing and testing including Java, Python and Selenium

Experience in performance testing including use of JMeter and LoadRunner Cloud is desirable. 

Experience using Azure DevOps, HP QC, JIRA and/or comparable platforms 

Exposure to AI testing tools including Test Modeller, Virtuoso and Functionize desirable 

Previous experience working in banking and financial services desirable

Flexible, independent and self-motivated 

Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high 

Strong oral and written communication skills 

Strong experience of iterative/incremental software delivery 

Experience of working in fast paced environments to strict deadlines 

Bachelor’s Degree or HNC in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience 

ISTQB Foundation Certification desirable

Location 

You will be based in our Johannesburg office, however as a result of the wide variety of clients and projects, you may be asked to work in other locations, sometimes at short notice and sometimes over lengthy periods of time. Your desire and ability to do this will be discussed as part of the recruitment process. Candidates who are unable or do not wish to work on projects in other locations will still be considered.
