Job Description & Summary

A career in Information Technology Risk Assurance will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage enterprise technologies so they can get a higher return on their investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational inefficiencies. The work revolves around creative problem solving and applying innovative technologies to enable strategies that increase the value of the applications that run our client’s business, mitigate risk and find operational inefficiencies. Our focus is on creating effective and efficient design for the most important business, security and compliance processes for our clients. We touch on aspects of application security, areas prone to fraud and financial misstatement, and streamline processes that are part of our client’s core business so they can get a higher return on this key investment. Using innovative, and proprietary technologies, we help to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, compliance functions and Information Technology teams to assist in understanding how to embrace new ways of working, while limiting their financial and operational risk profile. We use knowledge of financial system design, risk mitigation, business process design, data integrity, security and use of data analytics.

Our clients make large investments in enterprise financial systems, and they need to design those systems to meet the needs of their business while providing capabilities to improve end user experiences while managing risk. As a part of our team, we help our clients balance these critical factors to lead their organizations and get the most value out of their investment in cloud applications like Salesforce and Workday.

This is a consulting role with an equal emphasis on technical delivery and strong client management. You will be the client's main point of contact for the scope, requirements and solution, taking overall accountability as the IT Architecture Consultant for individual projects, delivering client solutions using the relevant technology set. You will be hands on both in terms of client engagement and technology implementation. You will operate across the project lifecycle from discovery through to development, test and training.

 

And you’ll be doing it as part of one of the most awarded, innovative and ambitious teams in the industry. We’re recognised as leaders and have alliance relationships with major technology providers – including AWS, Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft and SAP.

Qualifications / Certifications required:

Ideally educated to Degree level or equivalent, we are open to strong candidates from all relevant educational backgrounds but you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Certification(s): TOGAF

Relevant certification(s) in one or more of the following:

SAP

Microsoft

Cloud solutions such AWS and Azure

Experience required:

8+ years of experience, gained with a leading professional services or systems implementation firm

Expert knowledge and understanding of digital trends and challenges across industries, gained through project experience, contribution to thought leadership, articles, client recommendation, etc

Architecture skills spanning across Solution, data and integration domains while being aware of infrastructure, security and other non functional dimensions.

Demonstrable track record of helping to shape successful business development of digital and other transformation initiatives

Strong knowledge of the vendor landscape, ideally with leading certifications or will to pursue certifications.

Proven understanding of Cloud market and technologies.

Ability to operate across multiple lines of business and team up with other PwC disciplines to enrich the support to our clients.

Support the business development activities in combination with client delivery and practice growth.

Adaptability to continuously learn and develop the necessary skills to progress and stretch yourself.

Strong autonomy and drive to ensure quality progress and outputs.

Ability to drive teams in fluid environments to define relevant next steps, collect buy-in to bring clarity and progress.

Supporting Pre-sales during development of new business with new or existing clients

Producing proposals & working with technology vendors to present proposals

Review of proposals during the presales process to ensure proposal accuracy

Working with the commercial team to ensure a smooth handover in to Delivery processes

Participate in recruitment activities where necessary

Demonstrable hands-on cloud based cutting edge technology experience

Coding experience, server side (e.g. Apex, .Net, Java) and clientside (e.g. Javascript, CSS)

Proven and field tested architectural design skills and ability to discuss the merits and trade-offs of using any particular design approach and technology.

Strong enterprise architecture knowledge with a specialty on at least one of front office / middle office / back office

Leading vendors including Application, data, infrastructure and Cloud platform technologies
