About You

Kimberly-Clark is on a multi-year program to enhance its supply chain efficiency. As a Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for the functional and technical aspects of SAP Order Fulfillment (gATP/AATP/Distribution) that include integrating SAP and multiple Supply Chain solutions that meet the needs of the most complex business functions in Kimberly-Clark. You will bring deep knowledge of SAP (Sales and Distribution) and experience on how best it can be enabled to meet operational needs whilst minimizing technical complexity. 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solution Engineer with specialized expertise in SAP gATP (Global Available-to-Promise), SAP aATP (Advanced Available to Promise), and SAP SD (Sales & Distribution). The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of functional and technical knowledge, including firsthand experience with SAP ABAP and SAP Fiori applications.

This role will play a critical part in supporting the North American SAP gATP system, addressing gATP-related issues, and leading the upgrade from SAP gATP to aATP for North America. This role will also play a key part in the global rollout of SAP S4 HANA solutions for the module of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) specific to SAP Distribution/Goods Issue and aATP domain.

The candidate should have a proven record of multiple end-to-end SAP implementations in the Sales and Distribution domain, along with working in global, challenging environments. A hunger for learning new skills and adapting to evolving technologies is essential.

The Solution Engineer will collaborate with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Business leads/users and various internal IT teams to continue to help K-C be an industry leader in this space as it supports our business. The Solution Engineer is a go to person for all functional/technical expertise and performs leading-edge work and develops innovative approaches/solutions. This role seen as an expert in complex application environments, encompassing business process. As a recognized subject matter and technical expert, the person is a functional/technical leader and will mentor others in the organization. The Solution Engineer also provides broad work direction to their functional colleagues and developers and other corresponding IT functions helping build a robust SAP system.

Scope/Categories

Role will report to the Platform Manager, Enterprise Order Fulfillment - Customer Solutions. Role will not have any direct reports. Key Interfaces: Business Partner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, Enterprise Architect, Business Client, Internal DTS teams and other software developers. External Interfaces: IBP, BI/BW, Kinaxis, ePPDS, BY TMS, EWM, EDI, and external vendors.

 Travel may include approximately 10% of work time.

Main responsibilities:

SAP gATP North America: The existing system is primarily supported by an external vendor and this role will function as the secondary support, providing expert-level support only if the primary team fails to resolve issues. In such events it would be required to troubleshoot and resolve gATP related issues, ensuring minimal to no disruption to business operations. Additionally, collaborating with the global support team to enhance system performance and stability.

SAP gATP North America: Demonstrate hands-on experience with RBA (Rule Bases Availability), BOP (Back Order Processing), Product Allocation, and Architecture (CIF: Core Interface/RFC: Remote Functional Call). The existing system is extensively customized and having a strong functional/technical expertise will enable a smoother introduction.

SAP gATP to aATP migration for North America: Lead and steer the upgrade of existing SAP gATP solution to SAP aATP. Leverage prior experience in migrating from gATP to aATP to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan, including testing, training, and post go-live support.

SAP aATP: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP aATP functionalities, including but not limited to: ABC (Alternate Based Confirmation), SUP (Supply Protection), BOP (Backorder Processing), PAL (Product Allocation), PAC (Product Availability Check), RACR (Review Availability Check Results), and Reporting and Analytics. Configure and optimize aATP processes to meet global business requirements and improve operational efficiency. Work on aATP related projects, integrations, and customizations. Utilize Fiori applications to deliver intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for aATP processes.

SAP S4 HANA and SAP SD: Utilize experience in SAP S4 HANA and SAP SD to deliver global SAP S4 implementations/projects/enhancements and SAP ECC projects/enhancements. Being the key resource for Distribution/Goods Issue domain and working on related projects, enhancements, integrations, and customizations.

Support in the definition of functional and technical business requirements to ensure strategies and solutions align with business needs.

Design high quality end-to-end solutions to meet the business needs both now and in the future by ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, scalable resilient and secure.

Define detailed specifications according to which solutions are defined, managed, and delivered.

Ensure design practices, artefacts and processes are in line with leading industry patterns and practices.

Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution design and delivery.

Leads and drives multiple streams within IT and the business teams in coming to a mutual understanding of processes and technology solutions to support them.

Integration knowledge:  Integration of other systems with SAP gATP, SAP aATP and SAP SD. Experience of integration with 3PL, ASN, IBP, Kinaxis, SAP TMS, and SAP WMS is a plus.

Problem-solving:  The ability to address business and customer needs by solving complex problems.

Communication:  The ability to understand business requirements and communicate with stakeholders.

Analytical skills:  A strong understanding of analytical skills and techniques.

People skills:  Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Key Qualifications and Experiences

Bachelor's degree; 10+ years of Professional experience of Information Technology experience including working directly with business clients.

In-depth knowledge and experience in SAP gATP, SAP aATP, SAP SD, and their core functionalities is mandatory.

Proven experience in migrating from SAP gATP to SAP aATP is highly desirable.

Multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects in the Sales and Distribution domain is desirable.

Strong technical expertise in SAP ABAP and SAP Fiori applications.

Experience collaborating with global teams and managing cross-regional projects.

Knowledge of other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), WM (Warehouse Management), TM (Transportation Management) is a plus.

Cultivates networking opportunities with peer organizations.

Broad range of business and IT experiences.

Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.

Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners and customers.
