**SAP MDG Senior Functional Lead**
**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Senior Functional Lead to drive the implementation and optimization of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions for our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in implementing Business Partner (Customer and Supplier) and Material Master domains, with a proven track record of integrating SAP MDG with Salesforce, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, large-scale data migrations, and Agile methodologies. The candidate will lead business workshops, align cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of master data initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG for Business Partner (Customer and Supplier) and Material Master domains, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
+ Drive end-to-end integration of SAP MDG with Salesforce, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
+ Define and implement data governance policies, workflows, and validation rules within SAP MDG to maintain high-quality master data.
+ Plan and execute large-scale data migrations, including data cleansing, mapping, transformation, and validation, to support MDG implementations.
+ Facilitate business workshops to gather requirements, present solutions, and secure stakeholder buy-in across functional areas (e.g., sales, procurement, supply chain).
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, business units, external vendors) to align MDG solutions with broader enterprise goals.
+ Provide functional leadership in Agile project environments, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery of MDG enhancements.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to MDG processes, integrations, and data quality.
+ Document functional designs, process flows, and integration specifications to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ 8+ years of experience in SAP MDG implementations, with a focus on Business Partner (Customer and Supplier) and Material Master domains.
+ Proven expertise in integrating SAP MDG with Salesforce, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA, including hands-on configuration and testing.
+ Very strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, quality, and lifecycle management.
+ Extensive experience leading large data migrations, with proficiency in tools and techniques for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
+ Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodologies, with experience working in sprint-based delivery cycles.
+ Exceptional ability to lead business workshops, translate business needs into technical solutions, and drive stakeholder consensus.
+ Strong skills in aligning cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and resolve conflicts.
+ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience with additional SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI) and their integration with MDG.
+ Familiarity with SAP Data Services, SAP Information Steward, or other data management tools.
+ Exposure to cloud-based SAP solutions and emerging technologies (e.g., SAP BTP).
