DuPont is a leading company in the full utilization of SAP’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Product Safety module for managing global regulatory compliance across many diverse specialty product businesses.
The SAP EH&S Regulatory Data and Systems Senior Specialist position offers a challenging opportunity to gain exposure across the DuPont product portfolio and support the business units and/or the Corporation in the application of product regulatory systems and tools. The role involves leading and/or participating on continuous improvement projects, along with leading and assisting with the daily run and maintain activities to support processes and functionality and/or support the translation of business regulatory requirements into SAP EH&S system logic. The position requires a knowledge of SAP EH&S standard data processes, structures, data maintenance, and data connectivity to supply chain.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Ensure DuPont regulatory data integrity in SAP EH&S
Maintain and update standards and best practices on business data maintenance
Liaise with DuPont data maintainers from other workstreams
Support run and maintain and act as an intermediary with the corporate and business product stewardship and regulatory teams to ensure that the functionality of the SAP system will meet the corporate regulatory compliance requirements
Participate and support corporate, functional, and business project work for SAP EH&S, which include Business Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
Participate on the corporate SAP EH&S architecture review meetings and oversight of problem requests and system testing for upgrades
Understand and develop the processes used for data review, analysis, validation, and maintenance
Identify and troubleshoot regulatory data and systems issues
Accountable for system functionality areas and processes
Lead and/or participate on SAP EH&S continuous improvement projects
Collaborate in global networks
Your Qualification Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
5+ years of experience working in a similar role supporting product stewardship and regulatory with relation to SAP EHS
Broad knowledge of SAP functionality
Ability to achieve successful results through influence rather than direct authority
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills
Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience
Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in SAP EH&S including but not limited to:
Maintaining regulatory and compositional data in SAP EH&S
Analyzing and retrieving data
Understanding of the SAP EH&S table structure
Proficient in other SAP modules to understand processes for Orders, Deliveries, Raw Material Management, Product Shipments, etc., and how they integrate with EH&S functionality
Basic understanding of chemistry
Certification in Dangerous Goods (e.g., IATA, IMDG, etc.)
Working knowledge with chemical substance regulations (i.e., REACH, TSCA, GHS), as well as knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship is a benefit
Prior experience with product stewardship and regulatory or supply chain strongly preferred
