These are prepared according to recipes during which ingredients are weighed, blended, dissolved etc. In the role as sample technician, you are also applying the fragrances into consumer fragrances end products. You will be part of an enjoyable team, working in close co-operation together. You will also have contact with several other departments in a framework of short deadlines, so it is important that you are stress resistant. This is a full-time job where you will work flexible between the perfumer lab and oil sample lab. The position will report to the IC&D Ops perfumer lab manager in the Hilversum Creative Center. Key responsibilities + Weighs fragrances according to perfumer recipe: raw material preparation, introduction in line with good manufacturing practices, use of tracking bar code, conditioning, and labeling. + Performs calculations related to formula quantities and dosage level in end products. + Making materials homogeneous using equipment (by means of stirring and possibly heating). + Labeling oils and end products in accordance with perfumer's instructions. + Applying the oils made according to protocol in consumer fragrances end products which are used for internal evaluations and sent to customers. + Producing reference samples for shipments to customers, ensuring correct labeling and registration. + Setting priorities, planning own work. + Receiving, coordinating, and following up on specific requests from internal departments. + Identifying deviations regarding the quality of individual ingredients and/or end products, passing this on to perfumer and/or other stakeholders. Job requirements + MBO4 level – Chemistry background preferred. + Proficient at using sensitive analytical balances to weigh out formulas on small scale. + Team player. + Good communication skills in English. + Accuracy, neatness. + Mathematical skills. + Basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) knowledge. + Customer focused internal & external. + Flexible.
