Sample Login Technicians are responsible for verifying that samples are received in compliance with EPA protocols, logging samples into the laboratory’s LMS system, and distributing them to the proper areas of the lab. Testing environmental compliance samples is a complex process; the Sample Login Technician position is a crucial interface between our clients and our analysts to assure that the correct testing requirements are assigned to samples and communicated to laboratory personnel. 

  

What you will do: 

  

Evaluate samples being received to assure that they meet all EPA protocols. 

Oversee sample receipt, logging into internal tracking system, labeling and distribution. 

Coordinate with project managers to make certain samples are assigned the correct analyses. 

Assist clients who deliver samples directly to the laboratory. 

Communicate with remote clients when questions arise about their specific needs. 

Provide courier services occasionally, driving to various areas to pick up sample kits.

What you will bring: 

  

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Understanding or prior experience in environmental or agricultural role preferred. 

Basic computer and technical skills required. 

Prior experience in environmental laboratory role preferred. 

Knowledge of wastewater analysis methods preferred.

Exceptional time management and data analytic abilities required. 

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 

Ability to stand for extended periods of time. 

Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
