Job Description

The Sales Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering training programs to enhance a sales team's sales skills and performance. They assess training needs, develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs. The person in this role will also provide ongoing coaching and support to sales representatives to improve their sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service skills. Additionally, they stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure that the sales team is equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to achieve sales targets.

Responsible for training sales professionals on how to generate new business opportunities, convert sales opportunities into closed transactions, and educate them about the company’s products and services.May use a variety of training methods including classroom, computer-based training, as well as on-the-job training.Collaborates with internal business partners and proposes a new curriculum (material, workshops, demonstrations) and/or technology solutions / new tech options for the Sales Training program on an ongoing basis.Under indirect supervision, provides efficient, timely, and responsive professional service to sales representatives and sales management.Monitor usage of training courses at a regional level and advise sales leadership of results.Takes the initiative to proactively identify and meet the needs of the business.  Interprets, or recommends simple process improvement solutions/options.Analyzes and interprets various issues, autonomously selecting and adapting methods, processes, or tools to meet needs and coordinate solutions quickly and efficiently with quality and accuracy.Supports the Sales Enablement financial objectives by recommending budget items.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work preferred.  A high school diploma or equivalent is required.A minimum of 2 years of B2B Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Enablement, Sales Training, or Business Analysis.Understanding of Adult Learning Theory a plus.Detail-oriented; demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Ability to design and implement effective training and development solution.Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and follow through on all assignments/projectsDemonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skillsProficiency in web-based tools, preference for experience in Salesforce CRM, Content Repository tools, Learning Management Tools, Sales Enablement Tools, Project Management tools, Microsoft and Google Suites.

RRD's current pay range for this role is $62,800 to $111,400 / year. The pay range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. It is not typical for the final salary offered to be near or at the top of the range. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency,
performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
