Position Title: Sales Trainer - Japan
Location: Hybrid, requiring at least 3 days per week in the Chiyoda, Tokyo office each week. Occasional travel as needed.
Reporting To: Director of Sales Enablement
About the Role: We are looking for a dynamic Sales Trainer to empower our Japan sales team. In this role, you will localize global enablement strategies, deliver training, and enhance sales effectiveness. Reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement and partnering closely with the Vice President of Japan Sales, you will create and adapt programs that drive success in a culturally nuanced, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Training & EnablementDeliver training on core sales skills, including value-based selling, business communication, storytelling, and relationship building.Support adoption of the Challenger sales methodology or similar frameworks to help sales team succeed in enterprise sales strategies.Localization & AdaptationAdapt global enablement materials to meet with the Japan market’s unique product, pricing, and cultural needs.Serve as the main point of contact for enablement activities in Japan. Facilitate clear communication between the global and Japan team.Program Development & EventsDevelop and implement onboarding and continuous learning programs.Partner with the Seminar Coordinator to prepare teams for events.Stakeholder ManagementBalance directives from global and Japan-based leaders.Build trust with sales leaders and team members through open communication.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Languages: Native-level Japanese (spoken/written); business-level English.Experience: 3-4 years in sales enablement, training, or related fields, ideally in SaaS or tech.Sales Methodology: Knowledge of Challenger or similar sales models.Cultural Adaptability: Strong understanding of Japanese business culture.Communication: Skilled in individual, team, and executive communications.Training Expertise: Experience creating and delivering engaging, motivating sales training.Non-Discrimination Statement:
