Sales Support Administration

Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Sales Operation Specialist. The Sales Operations Specialist will support the business operations of one or more sales teams for a Business Unit within the Industrial Group for North America. In addition, they will work cross functionally with other support teams such as Finance/Accounting, Global Business Services, Customer Service, Marketing and Supply Chain. 

The position requires an understanding of standard processes, procedures, and systems as well as the adaptability to address the unique needs of a business unit or customer account.   The ideal candidate must be highly collaborative, responsive, detail orientated, analytical, and possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.  Candidate must also be self-motivated, able to prioritize and multi-task while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.

What You Will Do:

Manage new customer set-up and contact maintenance to ensure accurate information necessary which are critical for other support teams and processes.

Coordinate with sales and finance on billing related issues such as dispute resolution, blocked billing, credit blocks, pricing errors.

Must be knowledgeable on policies, procedures, systems and tools in order to provide general support to Sales as needed.

Coordinate with Supply Chain, Procurement and Customer Service for requests such as proof of delivery, returns, transfers, new product and vendor setup, order tracking and rush orders.

Create ad hoc reports to support annual business reviews, sales incentives, sold to, ship to, days sales outstanding, and other tracking reports to support sales effectiveness.

Communicates effectively within sales, sales operations, and act as liaison with cross functional teams to deliver effectiveness and efficiency in day-to-day order to cash operational procedures.

Provide support for sales initiatives such as project rollouts, tracking and communication.

Perform other operational duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Secondary Degree and 2-4 years’ experience in a sales or sales support role within a complex business environment

Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills

Strong attention to detail

Proven problem-solving skills.

Business and financial acumen

Ability to work independently, think critically and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal, relationship building skills and experience working cross functionally with key business partners.

Familiarity with CRM and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree completed or in progress

1 year of experience in a sales organization

Customer service experience where you have directly interfaced with customers
