Department Overview:

The Information Protection and Cloud Security team at Proofpoint is a new and exciting team that specializes in keeping our customers safe and protected. This team is built up of motivated and talented individuals who are passionate about the security space and want to continue to make an impact in the world and our outstanding customer base. Currently a major growth engine for the company, this group currently sells a portfolio comprised of 6 products that continue to grow.

Role Overview:

Proofpoint is looking for an experienced Sales Specialist to align with our Ohio Valley Named Field Team. This person will be reporting to a Sales Director for the Information Protection and Cloud Security team. You will work closely with Proofpoint core sales reps as a specialist and partner to help drive growth in the region and be the expertise for this team in the technology.

Your day to day:

The ability to establish strong relationships at all levels to get things done and close deals.The hunger and drive to penetrate net new accounts as well as expand our presence with already existing customers – a hunter mentality.Partner with the channel organization to secure a new share of the security market.Work closely with the core team to expand footprint in existing customer base and leverage strong relationships.Continued enablement on our product portfolio in order to have more meaningful customer conversations and enable our core team as well.Team up with our extraordinary Sales Engineers team to prepare account strategies and plans, deliver outstanding product demos and proof of concept programs to prospects and customers.

What you bring to the team:

Experience and knowledge selling into the enterprise space.Enterprise software sales and cybersecurity experience. A plus for experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), or Secure Web Gateway (SWG).A desire to have a deep understanding and be technically proficient on our products.Strong account planning and forecasting skills.A proven track record exceeding sales goals and the desire to win.Passion for partnering and working with people across all functions of the business to complete tasks, meet deadlines and get things done and understand the overlay structure.Understanding and proficiency with Salesforce.
