Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Service Manager who will be responsible for driving our sales and marketing efforts, along with facilitating the distribution of GAF products through the home improvement retail industry.
This role will manage a team of Pro Retail Specialists and Retail Sales Reps, and will be responsible for driving team success by achieving annual sales goals. The Retail Sales Service Manager leverages Salesforce and Tableau data to monitor market trends, develop annual pricing programs for customers, and execute growth strategies. This person will leverage their strong relationship building skills to partner with internal stakeholders, regional managers, and store personnel to drive GAF products through stores.
Essential Duties
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all direct reports via ride-a-longs, phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and open communication
Foster team growth, development, and success by setting clear objectives on how to be the most effective in the field to drive sales and product knowledge
Drive the vision and strategy of the Pro Retail Specialist team within the GAF retail team
Establish and develop strong relationships with big box retail stores (Home Depot & Lowes) and district management; Become their trusted advisor by utilizing strong negotiation tactics and leveraging GAF value propositions to position our clients as industry leaders
Present sales and marketing programs to key target customers, which includes senior leadership within the home improvement retail stores
Partner with internal support teams to develop appropriate product marketing and merchandising support. This includes product packages, promotions, brand labels, pricing, and billing
Utilize data from Salesforce and Tableau to identify and prioritize retail stores and contractors, with the goal of building enhanced relationships that lead to increased customer loyalty, growth, and average ticket sales
Perform periodic store audits within key retail locations to ensure sales service objectives are being achieved
Inform customers of supply and price trends and assists inventory specialists with inventory control
Continuously network, both with existing customers and potential new ones
Stay in regular communication with the broader GAF Residential field sales team to stay informed about regional activities and market conditions
Qualifications Required
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
3+ years of outside sales experience or equivalent relevant experience
1+ years of management experience, or proven leadership experience
Strong communication skills with customer focus
Strong organizational and presentation skills
The ability to have and maintain a driver’s license
Qualifications Preferred
CRM/Salesforce experience strongly preferred
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Tableau experience is a plus
Sales experience in the building material or retail industry
Proficiency using Google Suite
Self-disciplined and motivated
Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
Bilingual is a plus
Travel Requirements: 50-70%, some overnight and weekend travel
