Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a Leader of the Manufacturer Sales and the Retailer sales functions and will generate the Strategic vision, develop and drive a profitable sales growth strategy for the Czech Republic including the right organizational set up to support that strategy.

The main responsibility of the role is:

to deliver significant profitable growth to the CHEP business in a competitive environment by:

developing and opening new market sectors and segments

by leading high-stakes negotiations with high potential manufacturing customers and with influential Top major retailers.

to successfully lead, develop and deploy the manufacturer sales team and the retailer sales team to deliver rapid and profitable sales growth and increasing customer satisfaction.

What will you do?

Growth – co-creates the Strategic Vision, develops and implements the strategy to acquire significant shares of the FMCG manufacturers portfolio and to increase and reinforce CHEP visibility and market shares within Retailers. Is the leader of a cross-functional team and coordinate CHEP resources to develop standard and / or tailor-made solutions, offers for retailers and for their suppliers, in line with CHEP policies. Completes thorough data-driven investigations into targeted company operations. Leads business negotiations with Senior client executives on behalf of CHEP about these solutions and manages the implementation process of them.

Cost efficiency & cost leadership – provides disciplined S&OP, manages activities for self & team to deliver the budget targets and profitability levels via reinforcing pool discipline with manufacturing and retail customers. Develops processes and tools for the teams to work effectively. Develops and implements Measures to reach cost leadership. Controls commercial proposals to be in line with CHEP policy, offering newest solutions procedures and processes.

People – Is the leader of and develops a team of high-performance sales to manufacturers and to retailers. Will actively adjust the team structure to the needs and develop the talent and succession planning for the team, to reach business excellence.

Health & Safety – complies with the safety legislation, policies and procedures

CLT leadership – will shape and contribute to the regional strategic direction as an active member of the Country Leadership Team, orchestrating execution of the agreed solutions

Who are we looking for?

10+ years of experience in managing sales of services to large organizations with complex decision-making processes (Hunter profile)

Proven track record of success in the FMCG Sector within Czech Republic

Supply chain experience highly desired

Proven experience in international matrix environment

Proven success in delivering challenging sales targets

People management experience of medium or large sized teams

Proven record of contribution towards business strategy

Fluency in Czech and English

Excellent oral and written communication skills in Czech and English with the ability to interact effectively

Strong numerical and analytical skills

Experienced in the application of MS Office, especially proven proficiency in MS Excel
