Job Description
This role involves managing a dense sales territory, including Milford, West Haven, Orange, Ansonia, and Derby. The Sales Representative will take over numerous existing customers and engage in permanent sales efforts. The objective is to develop new accounts, maintain customer relationships, and drive growth throughout the assigned area.
ResponsibilitiesProspect new customers and develop new accounts.Maintain existing accounts and relationships.Develop and implement sound selling strategies.Strategize and execute long-term, group marketing projects.Coordinate recycling service and transportation logistics.Draft contractual documents for ongoing service.Act as an expert in waste markets and service equipment.Build and manage relationships with clients.Expand the client base.Expedite the resolution of customers’ problems and complaints with maximum satisfaction.Maintain reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with company policies.Adapt to changing duties as required based on business needs.Essential SkillsAbility to work independently and effectively with little supervision.Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.Understanding of current trends and competition in the marketplace.Clear and persuasive communication in positive and negative situations.Ability to listen and get clarification.Organizational skills with the ability to keep files and records for future business.Ability to price out work according to type and service level.Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with other functional groups.Strong problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.5 years’ experience in outside sales (experience in waste removal preferred).Demonstrated clerical skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Must have a current driver’s license and own vehicle.Work Environment
Work will primarily be from the road, with an expectation to visit the office about once a week after a one-month training period. The environment is fast-paced, requiring proactive, hardworking, highly organized, and independent thinkers. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00
