The Sales Representative role is based in Syracuse, NY and reports directly to the RMC Area Manager.
What You’ll Get to DoOrchestrate day to day activities including, but limited to, quoting, reporting, backlog entry, daily sales edits, and project creation.Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers by having regular site/office visits to stay proactive and informed in the market.Identify new sales opportunities through market research, lead generation, networking, and attending industry events.Ensure constant communication with operations, dispatch, and quality control teams to provide proper quality/service to customers.Become the subject matter expert for your customers by staying up to date on HM business training and education opportunities while educating customers of HM technological offerings.Share market insights with the Area Manager to adapt and refine approaches, ensuring RMC remains competitive.Build a strong safety culture & ensure compliance with all safety & environmental regulations.Essential Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent years of construction materials industry experienceA proven track record that shows sales growth through self-motivationIntermediate skills in MS Word and MS Excel.Outstanding relationship-building skills.Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.Flexibility and willingness to travel.Valid driver’s licenseMust reside within reasonable commuting distance to Syracuse, NYPreferred Experience and SkillsMinimum 3-5 years in the building materials industryExperience in Ready Mix Concrete materials industry preferred.
Work Environment Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business frequently at job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels.
