Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is to function as an Azure sales team for ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) or digital natives. They are looking to bring in a resource, specifically an Azure data and AI solutions seller, to help sell Azure.Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of checking emails that came in overnight. Updating opportunities in MSX, which is the sales pipeline tool. This includes updating deal sizes, adjusting dates, and maintaining sales hygiene. Talking with customers and partners, checking in on existing opportunities, and developing new ones. Analyzing data to identify opportunities, such as unused Microsoft security workloads, and discussing these with customers. Collaborating closely with the account executive to drive, accelerate, and identify deals. Acting as a hunter, proactively seeking out opportunities and adding value to the customer.Unique Selling Points: A startup-like environment that is scrappier and less structured, appealing to self-starters. Focus on social good, working with partners who sell to nonprofits and into the social good space, which can be exciting and fulfilling. The opportunity to work in a small, dynamic team within a commercial motion.Own technical discussions with customers leveraging processes and tools, demos, and programs using consultative sales methodology and technical expertise to influence the customer vision; establish rules of engagement (e.g., role boundaries, handoff strategies) for extended teams. Build technical strategy: map the agreed customer vision into a strategy, resolve concerns, preventing and removing technical blockers, and validating a strong business case for investment and translated technology complexity into business impact.  Work with the customer, account team, and partners to orchestrate a roadmap for implementation guiding the customer to choose the best Microsoft Analytics platform and win the AI design for their needs.  Design the solution using your AI technical knowledge, architectural approach, consultancy skills and our methodology to win a customer’s technical decision and meet the customer’s needs; drive proof of concepts (POCs)/Pilots to create momentum for MVPs, infusing key AI technologies where appropriate and being technically proficient to do POC with hands-on-skills. Cross collaboration across AI, and Apps Innovation team to drive AI Design Wins and support the customer AI transformation inclusive of AI Applications and data foundation. Support the creation of new pipeline in collaboration with the Specialist and account team by identifying new opportunities within customer engagement and hand off to the Solution Specialist for pursuit. Be the Trusted advisor and use proactive effort to find and understand customers’ pain points and work with partners to design and offer solutions (with business case) to technical leaders by being a Microsoft AI and Analytics platform evangelist inclusive of new AI and Analytics projects plus real-time analytics, and end to end Data, Analytics and AI solutions. Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices with Global Black Belt and Engineering, to remove key blockers and drive product improvements. Maintain and grow expertise in AI technologies (Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Services, and Azure ML and Model Catalog) and relevant Analytics, Data warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Science, and AI scenarios including Intelligent Data and Analytics Platform (Azure SQL DW, Lakehouse architecture, Fabric, Azure Databricks, Power BI) while keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the Data & AI technical community.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00
