The Team

We partner with Hitachi Vantara’s Sales team and leadership to translate the company’s sales strategy into an effective operating model. Our Sales teams represent Hitachi Vantara to major clients across many industries and markets, and our team supports all of the planning, operational management, and execution functions that drive successful and high performing sales people. Our data-driven culture and insatiable curiosity drive actionable insights that bring value to the organization, and we need highly capable and experienced professionals to passionately partner with our stakeholders.

The Role
---------
The role is a critical member of the India Leadership Team. You will be expected to operate comfortably with leaders at the Regional Sales VP level.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing the GTM and account segmentation for the region, providing advice on how to structure a locally-appropriate model that aligns with the global framework.
- Facilitating the dissemination of the Annual Operating Plan into district and rep quotas, providing thorough analysis of the region trends and future potential to support quota deployment.
- Ownership of the sales forecast cadence, ensuring forecasts are managed over a minimum CQ+1 horizon at all times, providing direction and recommended action plans for Sales leaders to execute with their teams.
- Support the Regional Sales VP in the forecast cycle with analysis and commentary.
- Ownership of the Sales pipeline management cadence, ensuring that opportunity pipelines represent a realistic and complete picture of current and future opportunities in the Region.
- Liaise and partner with our APAC Deal Operations Centre to drive timely, efficient and proactive competitive pricing discussions for special pricing requests. Critical to success in this area is an understanding of market-based price points for various infrastructure solutions, which you either understand from experience, or have an adept skillset in learning and applying in the context of IT infrastructure technology solutions.
- Support the Regional Sales VP in the generation and development of content for Quartely Business Reviews and regular APAC Leadership meetings, supported by deep understanding and analysis of both the wider India market, and the Hitachi Vantara business and the key drivers of success.
- Lead the team supporting Account MasterData quality within salesforce.com, building relationships with the global MasterData team responsible for actioning changes.
- Lead and support the team to deliver a gold standard Bid Management function supporting key bids in the Region, including qualifying in/out of key bids based on capacity, and supporting and driving deliverables cross-functionally to support Sales in completing bids in an efficient and timely manner (also supported by global resources).

• Your 5+ years’ experience leading a high performing Sales Operations team means you have a clear understanding of the key requirements of the role, global best practices in Sales Operations, and how you can add value to the organization.
• You have a passion for leading and motivating your team, not just managing them. You constantly look for ways to bring the best out of your staff, developing their skills and growing their capability to create the next generation of high-performing stars.
• You are assertive and decisive in maintaining alignment with the way we expect business to be conducted at Hitachi Vantara, and maintain respectful assertiveness even when enforcing this with senior stakeholders.
• You plan your time and manage your stakeholders’ expectations when you make commitments, and have a track record of meeting your commitments.
• You are comfortable influencing, coaching and leading people across the organization, including those outside your immediate team.
• Sales leaders look to you for advice and recommendations on how to improve their business, and you have a passion for identifying areas of improvement and strategies to take advantage of them. When it comes time to implement those plans, you roll your sleeves up and work as part of the team to bring it to life.
• You follow and are passionate about industry trends and can share advice and expertise with your stakeholders, and you share your knowledge to drive better outcomes.
