Sales Operations Lead
Job Description

If you have a solid SaaS, Sales Operations background and are looking for a unique opportunity, then look no further my friend! Maybe you are part of a bigger organisation where you are feeling that your efforts are diluted by the large faceless team around you, you aren’t valued or you feel that every day is feeling the same? At Zendesk, you have the chance to be everyone's champion!

This Opportunity

Reporting to the VP of Sales Operations your primary focus will be on keeping our sales engine selling!

You will have an altruistic disposition, a passion for data, analytics and insights, for creating and implementing beautifully simple processes and have a natural understanding of sales and the operational processes required for a smooth and slick sales machine.

The GTM Ops team is a global function with team mates in all corners of the world, whilst this role is an individual contributor you’ll be supported by our shared services team and an active member of the global Field Operations team.

Whilst the role is predominantly focussed on Australia and New Zealand we love you to bring your experience of working for multi-billion dollar organisations to Zendesk and maybe help drive the odd global initiative where required and help us influence our global direction too!

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be a critical member of the global GTM Operations team, working closely with the RVP of Sales for ANZ helping them design and execute the sales strategy in the region.

You will be the right hand person for the Regional Sales Leader you represent, you will work in lock step with this person; being responsible for all things ops and sales performance within their region.

You’ll devise, own and continuously improve the operational rigour of the Sales division.

You will be the SME for Zendesk’s sales tech stack and the data that flows through it.

You’ll work with the rest of the GTM Ops team to define, implement, and continuously improve the KPIs to measure the performance of the Sales organisation and providing the telemetry to support strategic decision making

You’ll define and constantly evolve and improve the Zendesk territory models to ensure optimal coverage across our markets.

You’ll assist in troubleshooting operational issues as they surface; proposing changes to systems and processes to accelerate our growth

You’ll collaborate with our Sales Enablement team to identify and close key knowledge gaps through continuous training and development.

You’ll own the execution of key business processes, chairing the forecast and demand generation processes and be responsible for empowering the RVP of Sales with all angles to represent the region back into the global business.

You’ll identify inefficiencies, implement solutions, and track progress around sales performance, pipeline management, and sales forecasting for the business unit your team is partnering with

Once you find efficiencies in our processes, you’ll document these to ensure that we can all share in your great work.

You’ll also be instrumental in representing ANZ in global Centres of Excellence ensuring that the EMEA nuances and challenges are represented at the global level.

What you bring to this role:

Working in a similar role to this one for the last 3 years, ideally in a $multi-billion turnover SaaS organisation.

A motivated self-starter who has a demonstrable “off the scale” passion for solving problems

You are a numerate natural problem solver with significant experience of using telemetry to drive business decisions including complex financial models.

Have various forms of data and visualisation experience covering SQL, BI tools and SFDC data

You are entrepreneurial in your approach, taking a hands-on stance and having the ability to adapt quickly in a fast growing organisation.

Are able to juggle multiple projects and tasks concurrently, working on large hairy projects at the same time as fielding quick-fire tactical initiatives.

Want to be part of a successful team and can demonstrate a team-first attitude - you will be part of a global team but autonomous within your region with overlapping priorities and responsibilities, you will be someone who thinks with a team mindset.
