Sales Manager or Sales Executive in Racking and Shelving – SSSMSE

Main job function 

Our client is recruiting a results-driven Sales Manager or Sales Executive (title depending on experience) to drive growth in their Racking and Shelving division. This is a key role for an experienced salesperson who understands the Southern African market, knows the industry landscape, and has a deep understanding of steel-based racking and shelving systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales G Revenue Growth Achieve monthly and annual sales targets of R5 million/month (or as agreed based on product mix and pricing). Grow existing customer accounts and secure new business in line with the company’s strategic growth Client Management Develop and manage strong relationships with key customers, distributors, project managers, and resellers across the Provide technical support and product knowledge to assist customers in specifying and selecting the correct racking and shelving Identify and develop new market segments including warehousing, retail, logistics, and cold Stay updated on market trends, competitor products, and pricing to help shape go-to-market Territory Management Manage a sales territory that will include travel throughout South Africa and neighboring countries as Ensure efficient sales coverage of allocated regions, attending site visits, trade shows, and industry Reporting G Forecasting Maintain a detailed sales pipeline in Provide weekly and monthly sales reports with forecasts, win/loss analysis, and customer

Key Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the racking and shelving, storage systems, or material handling Strong technical understanding of steel racking and shelving systems (e.g. selective pallet racking, drive-in, cantilever, longspan, ). Proven sales track record with measurable Ability to read and interpret warehouse drawings a strong Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
