Sales Manager (Mandarin Speaking)

About Our Department/Team

The sales and marketing team is the external representation of the hotel, serving as a bridge between the potential clients and the operations.

The ultimate goal is to convert the potential into revenue for the entire property.

Sales and marketing is made of four areas working closely together: communications, sales (general), event sales and room reservations. The team is led by the director of sales and marketing.


The Impact of This Role

Generates revenue for all areas of the hotel and ensures continued employment of operations team.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Activities:

Develop local and international corporate accounts through various sales strategies. Actively seek new clients via direct inquiries, sales leads, and trade show follow-ups. Maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers. Conduct professional site visits and negotiate rates based on market analysis. Participate in sales blitzes and adapt to market changes.

Meetings & Reports:

Attend regular sales briefings, department meetings, and operational discussions. Submit weekly and monthly reports, including sales call plans and market activity updates.

Client Prospecting & Engagement:

Meet specific activity targets: prospect calls, outside sales visits, entertainment, and site inspections. Maintain detailed account management via CRM (Sales Force). Ensure prompt response to inquiries and professional documentation.

Coordination & Administration:

Work closely with internal teams (events, marketing, and sales). Ensure all team members are well-trained and follow standard procedures. Maintain accurate client profiles and communicate key information to relevant departments. Assist in promotional packages, business planning, and market research.

Other Duties:

Represent the hotel at trade shows and networking events. Support the development of sales strategies and conversion tactics.

Critical Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in English and Mandarin. Strong knowledge of sales and account management. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. High integrity, problem-solving ability, and adaptability. Professional grooming and personal presentation.
